POLAR BEAR LAMP
An ambient lamp or a fairly large sculpture made of light clay, decorated with white engobe on the outside, blue on the inside, and finished with a glossy transparent glaze. The hollow body of the bear, with its upward-facing mouth, has a small opening for a cable, allowing for the placement of a simple light fixture with a bulb. The bear doesn’t give off much light, but that makes it perfect as a night lamp — a quiet guardian against the dark or a stumble on your way for a glass of water. (It comes with a simple white lighting setup — white textile cord, bulb, and switch.)

Each object is made as a one-of-a-kind piece. Creating an identical one wouldn’t be possible — nor something I’d want to try. If the piece is sold but you still feel you must have it, please get in touch. It’s always possible to make a similar one to order. The process and delivery may take some time — I kindly ask for your patience. But once it’s yours, it will be forever, so a few weeks of waiting might be worth it.
