BY THE OAK

A confident decorative lamp capturing an unexpected encounter between two bears. Two distinctive interpretations of the bear by Atelier Šunčík come together in a single piece for the first time. Light-coloured clay decorated with coloured engobes and a transparent glaze. The lighting system inside the lamp is simple, yet perfectly functional. A lamp holder with a long white cable and switch is loosely placed inside the hollow of the tree. The textile shade is dyed with Earl Grey tea. Signed. 2026.

dimensions: height 34.5 cm including shade (base only 22 cm) / width 17 cm / depth 16 cm (shade diameter at widest point 18 cm)

Each object is made as a one-of-a-kind piece. Creating an identical one wouldn’t be possible — nor something I’d want to try. If the piece is sold but you still feel you must have it, please get in touch. It’s always possible to make a similar one to order. The process and delivery take 2–3 months — I kindly ask for your patience.
